Understanding the Invisible Struggles of Dysfluent Readers at KS3

HFL Education has taken thousands of students through its hugely successful Reading Fluency Project, where struggling readers in KS3 and KS4 have achieved between 18 and 27 months of reading progress in just 8 weeks.
Drawing upon our extensive experience in reading fluency instruction, we will share some key findings with delegates including:
reading assessment practices which correctly diagnose dysfluency
key strategies for effective teaching of reading fluency
both at small group and whole class level
how to engage struggling readers with reading and the path between word reading and comprehension that is reading fluency
