Supporting the Lowest Progress Readers

This is a free training event which is designed to grow the school’s confidence and expertise in supporting the lowest progress readers - to ensure every child becomes a reader! 

We will show you how to:

  • Use assessment data effectively to identify pupils at risk of falling behind
  • ‘Keep up’ not ‘catch up’
  • Accelerate children’s reading progress
  • Organise and deliver extra practice to individuals/ small groups
  • Get every child reading

Who should attend?

Headteachers/ Senior Leaders in KS1 and Phonics/ English Leaders with an interest in ensuring ALL pupils make sufficient progress to meet or exceed agerelated expectations.
